I began candle making with the intention of simply making candles for around my home, but as my understanding of different waxes and oils grew, and my designs became more intricate, I began getting enquiries about selling them. I am passionate about using organic, recyclable and sustainable materials, and creating unique designs rather than ploughing out mass quantities of similar looking candles.

My materials: I only use organic and ethically sourced, vegan friendly soy and olive waxes. I also use organically sourced bees waxes. I also use organic coconut oil and organic cocoa butter in some of my products. Each item will have details of ingredients used and burn time. The dyes I use to colour the candles are all natural. I use Bekro dye chips which are sustainable, vegan, cruelty free, animal friendly, irritant and stain free and gentle to the skin. I will occasionally use a water based acrylic paint to enhance a candle design. The oils I use to fragrance the candles are all natural and pure. All of my candles are individually moulded, so each will be slightly different, and they may naturally frost.

 

Sustainability: All of my products are plastic free and I use recycled and recyclable packaging wherever possible. Due to the fragility of my products I have to use ample packaging, I would encourage you to recycle as much of it as possible. The tins I use to create my container candles can be rinsed with hot water and re-used or recycled. My products are cruelty free and vegan friendly. I source my basic products from companies who can guarantee that the products are ethically sourced, sustainable and 100% natural. I even ensure that the power I use to heat the wax comes from sustainable energy sources.
